Toddler Dance

This parent/child class is an introductory course for the studio's youngest dancers. In this class children and parents will learn basic gymnastics, musicality, and dance steps in a fun environment. Please bring a small blanket to sit on and a small stuffed animal or doll to class.

Combo Classes

3-8 yrs

Combination classes teach the basics of ballet and tap technique as well as tumbling. As dancers progress through the levels they will learn choreography and more advanced technique.

Ballet

Our Ballet program puts great emphasis on the method and execution of movement in an encouraging and disciplined atmosphere. Class will focus on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology and musicality. Students will be introduced to elementary barre and center work.

Dancers in the Ballet 1 level and higher must take the 2 Ballet 1 classes per week to continue developing technique and artistry. Steps and combinations of steps are expanded on and require more than 1 hr a week of practice to master.

Dancers in Ballet 3 and Ballet 4 begin pointe work and must take the 2 Ballet 3/4 classes as well as the Friday Variations class.

Contemporary

This class provides a well-rounded foundation for modern dance technique. With an emphasis on movement quality, this class focuses on alignment, line, musicality, and movement interpretation.

Jazz

Danced to popular music, there is no limit to the creativity of this genre. Warm-up, across the floor technique and choreography are focussed on in theses classes. A ballet foundation is encouraged for strong technique.

Hip Hop

An intro to the rhythms and movements in the Hip Hop style with an emphasis on musicality and creativity. This is a high energy class and perfect to start a young dancers journey.

Salsa

The basic footwork of salsa are introduced and expanded upon as the classes progress. Students learn footwork, body isolations, musicality and turns as well as arm styling to complement their dancing. This class is challenging and requires ballroom shoes.

Tap

Tap is often described as sound producing, syncopated, rhythmic steps in motion. Covering basic vocabulary, rhythms, and technique, these classes are well-rounded introduction to tap dance. Geared  for the beginning dancer to fall in love with the feel and sounds of tap dance.
